By the next year the SUV segment is going to hit . Here we have explained about the upcoming Exclusive SUVs from India’s top carmaker Mahindra. Mahindra is preparing for brand new offering to make the competition tough. Here are the quick update of upcoming models .

Mahindra XUV 3XO EV

The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV is a upcoming all-electric SUV based on the recently launched XUV 3XO (previously known as XUV300). It is expected to get launch in the month of October 2025. The Mahindra xev 7e will be available with  two battery pack options, potentially carrying over the 34.5 kWh and 39.4 kWh battery packs from the XUV400 . There will be no major changes in exterior design of XUV 3XO ev and will share similar design of XUV 400 but with unique EV-specific elements to distinguish it. 

Design and Features:

  • The XUV 3XO EV will share a similar design language with the XUV 3XO, but with distinct EV-specific elements. 
  • It may feature projector headlamps, a camera and radar-based ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and other features. 
  • Spy shots suggest a dual 10.25-inch infotainment screen and an all-digital instrument cluster. 
  • Other potential features include ventilated front seats, AdrenoX connected technology, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and a new climate control system. 

Powertrain and Battery:

  • The XUV 3XO EV is expected to offer two battery pack options: a 34.5 kWh and a 39.4 kWh. 
  • The 34.5 kWh battery is estimated to provide a range of around 359 km, while the 39.4 kWh battery could offer up to 456 km on a single charge. 
  • The charging port is likely to replace the fuel filler cap location. 
  • It’s expected to be positioned below the XUV400 in Mahindra’s EV lineup and potentially priced lower. 

Other Details:

  • The XUV 3XO EV is expected to be about 200mm shorter in length than the XUV400. 
  • It will likely be positioned to compete with vehicles like the Tata Nexon EV and MG ZS EV. 
  • The launch is anticipated in August 2025

Mahindra XUV 7OO

Upcoming Mahindra XUV700: expected as a facelift, is likely to be rebranded as the XUV 7XO and is slated for launch in 2026 This facelift will introduce design changes and an upgraded interior, while retaining the existing engine options. Mahindra is also planning to launch two new electric vehicles (BEVs) alongside the facelifted XUV700. 

Key Details:

Rebranding

The facelifted XUV700 is expected to be called the XUV 7XO. 

Launch

The launch is anticipated in 2026. 

Design

The exterior will feature a revised fascia with a new grille, headlamps, and DRLs, while the side profile will remain largely similar to the current model. 

Interior

Expect new technology and features, potentially including a triple-screen setup with a larger infotainment screen and digital driver’s display, as well as a passenger display. 

Engine

The existing 2.0-liter turbo petrol and 2.2-liter turbo diesel engines will likely be carried over. 

Other

The facelift may include features from the XEV 9e and upcoming XEV 7e, such as front and rear parking sensors and a Sony sound system.

Mahindra Thar

The facelifted Mahindra Thar is expected to feature cosmetic updates, including a new grille, LED headlights with DRLs, and redesigned bumpers. It will likely receive new alloy wheels and updated tail lights. Inside, expect a larger touchscreen infotainment system, possibly with dual displays, and other premium features like auto AC and ventilated front seats. The engine lineup is expected to remain the same. 

Exterior

  • Front: The facelifted Thar will likely get a six-slot grille inspired by the Thar Roxx, along with circular headlamps and DRLs, and a new bumper.
  • Side: Expect tweaked front and rear fenders, revised wheel arches, and new alloy wheels.
  • Rear: Expect reworked LED tail lights, a new bumper, and a full-size spare alloy wheel. 

Interior

  • Infotainment: A larger touchscreen infotainment system is expected, potentially with dual digital displays. 
  • Features: The facelifted Thar may include features like auto AC, a 360-degree camera, and ventilated front seats. 
  • Safety: Expect features like 6 airbags, TPMS, and an auto-dimming IRVM. 

Engine and Transmission

  • The existing engine options (2.0L turbo-petrol, 1.5L diesel, and 2.2L diesel) are expected to be retained.
  • Both 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes are expected to be offered. 

Other Details

  • The launch timeline is not yet confirmed, but testing suggests it’s nearing production.
